Toorak Landscape Design and Build, Melbourne

Project Overview:

The Heyington Place project in Toorak is a comprehensive landscape design and construction initiative aimed at creating a refined and cohesive outdoor environment. Our scope of work includes irrigation, planting, lighting, and detailed hard and soft landscaping to meet the client’s vision of a functional and aesthetically pleasing garden.

Irrigation System:

• The irrigation system is controlled by a Rainbird timer, designed to be fed from either mains or a suitable tank.
• The client’s plumber will install the tank and pumps, making the system ready for ‘plug & play’.
• A 13mm drip line will be installed in all garden beds to ensure efficient watering.
• All plants will receive a slow-release fertilizer upon installation to promote healthy growth.

Planting Plan:

• All existing plants will be removed unless otherwise noted.
• The existing box hedge from the driveway garden bed will be transplanted behind the wall near the water tank to continue the planting theme.
• Existing Arthropodiums will be transplanted and reused where applicable.
• Box hedges will be trimmed to a uniform height of approximately 300mm and treated with a growth-promoting formula.
• Ficus Pulima on the front brickwork will be removed (by others) and replaced with Boston Ivy.
• All garden beds will be topped with a minimum 70mm thick layer of organic “Sure crop” mulch.

Lighting Plan:

• Two separate lighting circuits will be run for garden bed lighting on either side of the driveway.
• The client’s electrician will install a smart switch and make necessary electrical preparations for Blume to install transformers and implement the full lighting plan.
